Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished third in the 200 meters during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then attended the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. A year later Felix was awarded her very first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making an all-time junior world record running 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to win the 200 meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
